Philanthropy Together is currently seeking individuals to join our Steering Committee to support the planning of We Give Summit 2023! In the spirit of collaboration, democracy, and equity – 2022 attendees and other collective giving supporters are invited to join!

The What:

Steering Committee members will support our team in the creation, development, and implementation of the 2023 summit including:

  • Content & Speakers: Selection of a 2023 theme, creation of tracks, crafting and promoting our call for proposals, review and selection of proposals, brainstorming, and outreach to keynote speakers
  • Marketing & Advertising: Promoting the summit with your organizational/individual network to increase attendance, brainstorm and outreach to relevant new partners, organizations, and participants who might be interested in collective giving
  • Engagement: Develop ideas, tools, and plans for how to best engage audiences virtually, and be an active and excited participant during We Give Summit

 

The When:

The Steering Committee will meet monthly beginning this October through May 2023. Meeting dates will typically be held on Wednesdays at 11:30AM ET / 8:30AM PT and will run for 60 minutes. There may be a small amount of work in between meetings (e.g. to review sessions or brainstorm a list of keynotes). Any work outside of scheduled meetings will be elective, though we hope you are able to engage beyond the Committee meetings.

 

The Who:

All past attendees of We Give Summit (or other collective giving supporters) are invited to express interest.

In alignment with Philanthropy Together’s mission to diversify and democratize philanthropy, priority will be given to individuals who have traditionally been excluded from the philanthropic sector. If you identify as working class/low-income, youth, BIPOC, disabled, LGBTQIA2S+ or gender-nonconforming, and/or as a woman, we highly encourage you to reach out. Your voice matters and we want you at our table.

We ask all Steering Committee members to commit to attending 6 of the 8 monthly meetings. If you are unable to attend a meeting we will be available to schedule a 1:1 check-in to fill you in on anything you may have missed.
